Meet Dr. Nora Muakkassa

Please welcome Dr. Nora Muakkassa to Visionaire Eye Consultants

Dr. Nora Muakkassa is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She graduated from Cornell University and earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She went on to complete her ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in medical retina at Tufts Medical Center.

Following her training, Dr. Muakkassa joined the faculty at Tufts Medical Center as an assistant professor before moving to Colorado Dr. Muakkassa is the co-founder of OphthoGenie, an educational ophthalmology company she started with her colleague in 2019. She has published several scientific articles and presented her research at national ophthalmology meetings.

Since 2019, Dr. Muakkassa has been dedicated to providing comprehensive ophthalmic care in Colorado.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, cooking, and gardening.
